I am pleased to inform you that our class has been selected to participate in a Leadership pilot that is taking place at Einstein Elementary School this year!
Our class, along with six other classrooms, one from each grade level, will make up the pilot group. Together, we will work diligently to build a culture of personal leadership in our classrooms by fully utilizing Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People:
Habit 1 – Be Proactive
Habit 2 – Begin with the End in Mind
Habit 3 – Put First Things First
Habit 4–Think Win-Win
Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Habit 6 – Synergize
Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw
Simply put, your child will learn practical character and life skills, leading to positive choices for themselves and for those around them. You will be seeing and hearing more about these habits, including strategies for applying them at home, throughout the school year.
We invite you to join us on this journey! Ask your child what they are learning about leadership and the 7 habits along the way; allowing them the opportunity to share this information, will deepen their understanding and give you both an opportunity to learn together. Being a leader and applying the habits – at school and at home, will equip your child to handle anything that comes their way!
